In addition to the suggestions already offered, a good place to find vintage Barbie is at local doll shows. If you have them in your area, the dealers that specialize in them are usually more than willing to share lots of tips and pitfalls to look for when shopping for vintage Barbie. There is nothing like having a Barbie in your hands to see the types of issues they might have. For example; a common flaw of vintage Barbie can be a broken neck knob.

If you’re looking for a reference book, the one I use is “The Ultimate Barbie Doll Book” by Marcie Melillo.
For the vintage clothes, I recomend “Barbie Fashion, vol II” by Sarah Sink Eames.
You can always bmail me and I will try to identify a doll for you.

I study as many Barbie doll books as I can find. I recommend “The Ultimate Barbie Doll Book” and “The Barbie Doll Photo Album [phone number removed]”.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
