Any good sites or suggestions as to figuring out what might be a fair price to expect from some silver coins (like silver quarters and dimes, etc.). I’m especially interested since the price of silver keeps climbing. Thanks in advance for your time and input.

Try here.
It will tell you how much the silver in your coins
is worth.
As to how much you can get for them, you
will have to shop around.
Coin stores, pawn shops jewelry store’s, etc.

Go to your local coin shops. Check the current spot value of silver that day before you go. You will pay a premium over spot, usually 10-20%. You can also buy rounds which are 1 ounce silver coins minted by private mints, they are not sovereign mint issue. They have less of a premium and run closer to spot.

Hi Dan!
Long time no see…I must have been bored one night because I worked out the ASW [actual silver weight of each of our old silver coins…
the [URL removed] total [URL removed] 2.5 [URL removed] .07234
the [URL removed] total [URL removed] 6.25 [URL removed] .18084
The [URL removed] total [URL removed] 12.50 gms.—ASW>: .38169
So, figuring out the actual value of JUST the silver is multiply those ASW figures by the current spot price of silver…E-Z as pie!
I added this just in case ‘something’ happened to the internet and/or our electrical grid—doggone conspiracy shows on TV! I’m starting to think I’m paranoid! [actually, I know I am—the little voices keep telling me this!].
With that—have a happy holidays folks—enjoy family, friends and increased sales to one and all!
