How secure is bonanza?

I am thinking about selling some 14kt and 18kt bracelets on this site. How secure is it as far as customer scams, Bonanza ensuring we receive payment before mailing, etc. I would never sell these on eBay due to the scam artists on that site and I wonder if there are many scams that are ongoing on Bonanza. I would appreciate any answers or examples. Thanks.

I’ve been selling here from their very beginning – NO problems at all.
List all your jewelry and sell it. Good Luck

Priority Mail is already insured!

I ship almost everything via Priority.
Just not small hotchpotch.

Same risks as other sites. I have had a few people try stuff on here, so far they haven’t gotten away with it. Just make sure you send to a confirmed address and expensive items have them sign for it.

I don’t sell gold but I have had sales of $1000.00 or more (other booth) and have not had a problem..

As said above, item is not sold until paid for and if you have Buy it Now, without OBO or prior approval, all items are paid for immediately. Don’t ship until checkout is completed….Follow paypal rules of insurance and signature confirmation of over $250.00 and don’t sell to anyone who asks you “uncomfortable questions” (had a few of those myself)

There will always be someone, somewhere who will try..just be aware

I’ve been selling here for about 3 years now and have found no scammers, however with any selling site there is always a chance for scammers, as you know selling gold bracelets (gold anything) does attract them so you just have to be careful. Read or post in the community sections always helps. Bonanza support is very good for any concerns you have about the site, email them. Yes never ship till payment is received. Good Luck.

There is no reason any seller should ship anything without receiving payment. In fact, on Bonanza, an item is not considered sold until payment is received. So to that end, I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

As far as scammers go, I agree they’re everywhere, although I’ve been pretty lucky here. Sellers beware.

Bonz does not secure payments that is up to your payment processor, which I see you use PayPal so all money dealings go through them and you follow their rules for Payment and Shipping.
As for scams this site is no different,we all run into them we just have to make sure if we suspect any wrong doing to report to Bonz support so they can deal with it on their end. Also would be a good idea to report suspect dealings to PayPal as well.

You should never ship without being paid through a reputable payment service like Paypal. I always ship items over $20 priority mail, with insurance. If it is extremely valuable, you should also get signature confirmation, to protect you and your customer.
