Has anyone mastered the art of batch text edit?

I don’t care what I do – it just doesn’t work for me and I really need it to work. I’ve tried and tried. Sure wish it was user friendly for teckno dorks

I used it for the first time the other day. I followed the directions of clicking to edit one of the items and copying the text you want to replace from there, to make sure you get all the special characters. When I submitted, it told me 0 items were updated. Frustrated, I went in to change each item individually, but they actually had been changed already.

Did you copy the text from the edit page? If so, check your listings to see if they updated or not.

I haven’t tried to use the batch text edit feature in quite a while, like years. I do recall though if you were doing a find and replace, you had to be really careful. I ended up with listings that had multiple, although somewhat varied, occurrences of the same text. I was also frustrating because you can’t change the font/size/color with batch text edit. So to the extent that appearance matters, it could be a problem.

Wishing you the best and when you do figure it out, I hope you’ll come back here and let us know.

Try using a short term, not a long sentence, with no symbols
