Ground advantage usps labels

Effective Sunday, July 9, 2023—the U.S. Postal Service is retiring both the First Class and Parcel Select/Retail Ground labels.
In its’ place will be the name of Ground Advantage. They said it would be good for any package ranging in weight from 2 ounces up to 70 pounds. As far as rates go, there shouldn’t be much change than what we have been used to.

My question is—we don’t see the category when it comes to printing the shipping labels. I want to be sure that this change will take place soon. Thank you so much.

I did not know about this. Thanks for posting. It’s gonna be weird not seeing first class mail.

Hmmm, there’s one disadvantage to this maybe. With parcel select, if a package was over 21 inches in length, then the girth measurement had to be taken and automatically it jumped up to another price point. First class mail did not do this. I’m wondering with sellers who sell packing peanuts and…

who were able to ship them as first class mail if the 21 inches will have an affect on that now. I hope not… I’ve been buying packing peanuts from the same person for a long time. We shall see. Hope this makes sense.

Do WE as Sellers need to change anything in our listings? I have lots of things tagged First Class Mail, will Bonz change that to Ground Advantage or whatever the PO came up with as far as name?

This is an official Bonanza response.

Hello petencharlie34,

Thanks for your question. USPS Retail Ground, Parcel Select Ground, and First-Class Package Services will automatically map to Ground Advantage. We are aware of an API issue that is preventing this from displaying properly at this time and our developer team is actively working to get this issue resolved.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Bonanza support for further assistance.

Thanks!
