Hi All,
I just had something very bizarre happen. I have a tag sale and collectible type booth and recently listed three designed hand bags. Bonanza sent me three emails saying they’d been removed for trademark infringement and that if I infringed someone else’s trademark again they’d shut down my booth. The emails all contained he same link, supposedly explaining trademark infringement rules, but when I clicked on it it dumped me into the booth of another Bonanza seller selling handbags. What on earth is going on. These are all authentic items with my own photos. I wrote to Bonanza in reply to all three, but until they get back to me, does anyone know what is going on with this nonsense?

@CastoffQueen, sorry that you had products removed. Bonanza does have many brands and a few trusted experts who peruse Bonanza for items that are not authentic. We monitor all of our brand partners and trusted experts closely so we can ensure that our program has consistency and integrity.
We would recommend that you reach out to the partner who pulled the items and find out why (they are the ones who have the details as to why). Sometimes mistakes are made on both sides so it would definitely be worth finding out why so everyone can move forward. Thank you for caring, and for checking. Best of luck to you.

I am not sure CastoffQueen, but I do know for a fact there is a site out there that “patrols” bonanza and other sites and reports back to the websites if they find an item that is not authentic, they then request that the website remove the item.
The site that does this actually has members on there that are “specialists” in authenticating, I am not saying this is what happened, but to me it sounds like your items were flagged as not being authentic.

Contact support..my guess is you got caught in a routine flag or (and unfortunately it happens) another seller did not like the competition and reported your items …..
Contact support and forward the link sent to you…because it should have have sent you to another’s booth….

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
