Does upgrading make a difference in sales?

I’m not currently on a membership plan of any kind. I started a booth here, linking my eBay items, and planned on upgrading if I saw there was a good reason to (i.e., SALES). Sales are great on Ebay, and very much less-than-great here. I currently have my advertising level at “Basic” (9% max). Would either signing up for a silver or higher membership plan or upgrading my advertising level actually make a difference here? I get about 2% of my total sales on Bonanza compared to 98% on eBay. It’s only worth paying more if I can see some buyers here. Thanks.

My belief is that if your sales cannot support an upgrade, then your booth is not really ready for one.

As to doing better at ebay then here..

I have a question, if buyers find your items at ebay, why would they bother to look elsewhere?

Buyers, for the most part, are going to go to ebay/amazon first…. If they do not find what they want..or don’t like the price, then maybe they will do an organic or a google shopping search. This is where Search Optimization, and good strong descriptions come into play to help place your items higher in search. Without increasing your bonanza presence on the internet, buyers will click on the first few options that come up in search.

Getting links back to your store, either through tweets, pinterest, facebook business page, or blogs, or other means is the best way to increase your search standings.

When you send the packages out on ebay…add a bonanza business card or blurb on your invoice. Tell customers you are setting up here..give them a coupon code to buy here instead there…

You have the means and it will take more work than listing and waiting.

Actually I’ve just upgraded to platinum and am using all their promotions, and my sales were higher in the regular membership lol.
But I’ve been running it for a week or so only, so waiting for a big change..

This is just my own personal opinion as a buyer although I’m also a seller. :) I have purchased items in the past where an eBay store was advertised in their Bonz ad. I no longer purchase here on Bonz from sellers who have eBay since I often hear that items are no longer available. Has happened to me a few times. Turn off for me as a buyer which is why I no longer go to those Bonz shops.
