Does paypal hold your payment likie when some buys something from ebay?

I know if i sell anything on eBay, they hold my payment for x amount of days. I have sold things face2face and he used paypal to pay me and i got the funds right then.

If i sell something here and the buyer pays with paypal, will they hold payment like with ebay?

They might. It depends on how long you’ve been using PayPal and the amount of the transaction involved. PP will do whatever it takes to minimize THEIR risk. They certainly would not want a seller to receive a large amount of money, withdraw the funds, and then disappear without shipping the item. If that happened, PP would have to refund the buyer. So, build up a good history with them to minimize funds being temporarily held by them.

I’m not sure. But i have never had paypal hold my funds on any site i sell on. Not sure why they would. Maybe if you are new, they might.

Even if your not new they will, I’m proof

It may be more because of the item you sold than anything else. Some items are more prone to fraud in general.

Paypal has never held my funds. If they pay with credit card through Bonanza or through Amazon, your funds are held. Amazon holds them until they are marked shipped and then you have to wait 7 to 10 days. If paid by credit card through Bonanza, the money is held in escrow until it is marked shipped, and you’ll receive your money within 3 to 7 days. I prefer paypal.

Amazon Payments usually drops the hold after about 100 transactions through them. If I send an a.m. shipment confirmation, I get my money the same business day.

I have had my Paypal account for several years. Not once have i scammed anyone and they hold my funds.. Like i sold 7 ounces of silver jm bars on ebay on the 27th. The person has already received it in 3 days because i went ahead and bought priority, and my funds wont be available until the 8th of this month.

They have legal documents on file with my full name and address. Photo of my SSN and Government issued ID, and they still hold my funds.

I’ve sold off and on since i have opened my paypal account and if they can’t trust me by now with everything they have of me on file, guess i’ll go with amazon payments and forget paypal.

You may want to do a search of google on this subject, i just found some interesting sites about silver bullion sellers and paypal.

Paypal shouldn’t hold your funds if your selling on a website that is not ebay if it’s under 5$ in transaction they should give you the money right away if it’s over that your money may be on hold this is for unverified accounts if verified with a bank account the funds should be available right away

It has never happened to me frind, maybe it has something to with the country where you’re at? Or perhaps with the bank you use, I don’t know, and I use paypal regularly because I do forex trading for a living. (if anyone here is interested you can check [URL removed] , it has great information for beginners) Let’s hope they solve this issue quickly for you.
