Does it hurt sales to accept paypal only?

Since I don’t have the required ten sales to be able to accept direct checkout on bonanza, do you think it hurts sales to only accept paypal?
I know when I sold on etsy and they started offering direct checkout my sales really started.
I think bonanza is hurting there new sellers by not allowing them to accept direct chekcout.
Is there a way to accept credit cards myself?

Buyers can pay with a credit/debit card through PayPal. Many buyers might be unwilling to give a small individual seller their credit card number directly, so PayPal’s option is great to have around. On the other end, using Direct Checkout through Bonanza is subject to the approval of the credit card processor that implements the Direct Checkout system that Bonanza uses. The decision whether to allow or not allow new sellers to accept credit cards is not made by Bonanza, but is made by that credit card processor.

How do you make customers aware that they can pay with a credit card through paypal? Do they have to sign up with paypal to do this? Seems I heard somewhere that they do not.

Try adding Amazon Payments also. On my last 4 sales, 3 customers used this option. Overall, almost half my customers use Amazon Payments. Bonanza wants to protect Customers by being selective with new Sellers. Will have to earn Direct checkout myself too. I am also new on this site but with good results so far. Good luck!

Hello Painted Purses, Paypal is the place to start for sales. Go to Amazon payments when you can, Realizing they are in another change mode at this time. Get your 10 sales as soon as possible, Direct payments does help sales.

I wish Bonanza would introduce a secondary payment system to Bonanza that helps all sellers – not just those who can use Amazon payments or direct credit cards – as I cannot accept either of them being outside of the US. Been here a long time, and nothing has been done in this area to help foreign sellers. So all sellers are on an even footing.

I started with just Paypal and over time, selected other payment options as my business grew. Buyers do not have to have a Paypal account to use their cards with Paypal.
