I have a book that i saw is selling for some ridiculous amount on ebay and amazon. I could easily sell it for much less and still make a nice profit….however, when i went to sign up with amazon to sell the book on their site, it wants a credit card and when asked why it says [URL removed]
“We will charge your credit card for monthly subscription fees or other selling fees if you have a negative balance in your seller account at the end of a settlement period”I have no idea what that means. Would anyone else know? Thanks.

Amazon uses a 2 week disbursement schedule. It’s not like PayPal where you can transfer money out at any time. So, if you have no sales within a 2 week period, but you owe Amazon money for whatever reason, they would charge your credit card at the end of that cycle. Monthly subscription fees are for people who sign up for a pro seller account (which you would not want to do to sell one item only). You could also have a negative balance if you already received your funds for a sale, but you have to issue a refund at a later date. If you’re thinking of selling on Amazon, please read the help files on that site first.
