For the upcoming anniversary sale, let’s say I wanted to offer 20% off on one particular category of items – maybe dolls, or jewelry. I don’t have a paid membership. So, how can I do this?

You normally CAN’T do so without a paid membership, however, I think you can let CUSTOMERS know by Typing within your BANNER that you will offer a DISCOUNT (on dolls, or on jewelry) at 20% OFF if they ask you for the SECRET COUPON CODE (and meanwhile you have to set up a coupon code, but don’t have it be public). . . I am NOT sure if you can still set up an UNANNOUNCED Coupon Code, but I’m fairly certain you can. Hope someone who’s still a seller maybe helps you, Carolyn, better than I can, because I’m retired from selling in Bonanza.
So Right in YOUR BANNER You might type/edit and put ’ ‘USE COUPON CODE ’’JUNESALES’’ for ANY DOLL, AND YOU’LL GET 20% OFF!’ ’ (but I repeat FIRST set up a secret coupon code)
The OTHER way to do so, is, 1st set up a (an unannounced or secret) coupon code . . .then TWEAK every item you want to offer 20% OFF on, but edit by using such in BATCH edit, and add to TOP of description something like this “USE THE COUPON CODE ’ ‘JUNE SALES’ ’ and YOU’LL GET 20% OFF THIS SPECIFIC ITEM. COUPON CODE ONLY GOOD FOR SPECIFIC LISTINGS”
Batch editing means you only have to add that ONE TIME to TOP OF DESCRIPTION and Check the Listings you want that phrase added to while you’re in Batch editing. . .

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
