I am going to present a different perspective on the fee changes. I know this makes some sellers upset because they do not sell enough on the platform to justify $20 or more a month. I absolutely get that. I may not either, which is why I am just going to try it. The worst thing that will happen is I have to CSV my listings to another store somewhere.
For those who want to stick it out, which I am considering since I had JUST started to rebuild on [URL removed]
1. The FVF is going to 11%. That’s doable. I am not sure I’d even change my prices if I still had thousands of listings.
2. The $14.99 new booth setup fee makes complete sense since the majority of fraudulent sellers will not pay anything up front to scam people.
3. The 50 free listings… at first I was like “Nope” but looking at it from a buyer perspective, if someone uploads 25000 listings onto the site, then just kind of abandons it or rarely checks it, that is bad for all sellers here when buyers buy and don’t get the product. This fee ensures that the seller at least logs in enough to handle the billing and makes sure that they don’t have a large number of unavailable items listed.
4. As long as the advertising rate doesn’t end up being the 11%FVF PLUS an additional adv rate, I will be ok with the change.
5. I (and a LOT of other sellers here) have a large feedback profile with a LONG history of sales. That’s not going to transfer anywhere else I move.
Like I said, if you choose to leave I can understand that especially if traffic has fallen off the last couple years. Since I did extremely well on Bonanza in the past, I am going to give it another shot.

speaking of Advertising … you might find this news from today interesting
“(Reuters) – Alphabet’s Google illegally dominated two markets for online advertising technology, a judge ruled on Thursday, dealing another blow to the tech giant and paving the way for U.S. antitrust prosecutors to seek a breakup of its advertising products.U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema in Alexandria, Virginia, found Google liable for “willfully acquiring and maintaining monopoly power” in markets for publisher ad servers and the market for ad exchanges which sit between buyers and sellers. Publisher ad servers are platforms used by websites to store and manage their ad inventory."
this should go over swell with Bonanza’s new fees & rates…..*facepalm
