Buyer harassment

A buyer is calling me repeatedly even though after the first few calls where he wanted to talk about personal information, I explained I only wanted to communicate via Bonanza email. The buyer purchased a new item, claimed not to receive it, I filed a claim with post office, then he called to say it was left on his back porch, not his front porch so he has it after all. Then, he wanted a partial refund because he only needed the top and not the entire pot. I explained I would issue a full refund once he returned the item intact in new condition. He then filed a “Item not as described” claim with Paypal and now the transaction is under review by Paypal. I have tried to block this buyer from future purchases and that feature doesn’t appear to be working. He is still calling, I just don’t answer. I sent Paypal pictures of the item sent, but the customer can always claim the actual item is different
I am having difficulty getting the right help message to Bonanza because there is no “Drop Down” option for this problem.
I am afraid if this buyer gets away with this, he will just target me for additional challenges.

First off…send an email (using the email you set up the booth with) directly to [email protected] instead of using the form…(put attn customer harassment or something along those lines…it also helps to actually put one someone’s name who is in bonz support)..send screen shots/copies of exchanges whether using bmail, email or paypal messages…

To block someone from buying start typing their userID in the box and when their name appears Click on It…it is important for you to click on the name, or it will not ‘stick’..

It will block purchases, but unfortunately it will not block messages…

Thanks,

IF he does not send it back to you, and send the tracking # to paypal, chances are you will win the case. as others have told me, just let it play out, do not escalate the claim, paypal will want to see the tracking # from him and that it was delivered back to you, plain and simple, as far as I know. that is how it worked with me. Just make sure you want the whole thing returned. DO NOT let him keep the item! Many scammers out there bank on that response.

I agree. This person is looking for something for nothing. Let it play out with paypal. Hopefully you win there.

Is the item worth more than getting rid of this guy? Perhaps, unless costly, you should just give him a refund and let him keep the item. Frustrating I know but sometimes the aggravation isn’t worth it. I think we’ve all been there! Good luck to you and have a good holiday sales season.

Thanks, I normally bend over backwards to accommodate buyers. This is over the top.

I disagree with gearseller2 . You made a sell , the buyer tried to rip you off from the start bysaying it wasn’t received .

I agree with cjazz. Plus it will encourage more of this behavior – if not towards the same seller, a different one. Stay diligent and make sure they return the WHOLE item or they don’t get a refund.
