Browsing

When I try to browse through the different categories, I only get hand picked lists.

I find when I click on a category heading from the main page..it brings up the Handpicked

When I click on a subcategory along the left side, then it brings up the listings..

My guess, the Main category ie Books brings up special selections from Handpicked…

and then the sub category ie nonfiction, brings up the actual listings of from that subcategory to browse

thanks for your response CindyBear. I have tried the sub category as well and all I get are 4 selections from a sponsored group.

CindyBear in my other ID

Sponsored selections have been at the top for quite some time (pretty much since Platinum membership was added)..

Sponsored selections are membership listings gold/platinum

under those are the regular listings

Edit
also..if you come back to check answers…realize that each ID besides yours can only answer once, but they can edit their original response, so you may want to re-read responses later…I try to mark mine as an edit

Hi…

It depends on the category you choose, I find.

When I click on the “fashion” category from the home page, I’m brought to the “fashion main page” – which says “Bonanza has one of the largest fashion catalogs on the planet, lovingly curated to your tastes…” etc. with some graphics underneath. When you click on one of those graphics, it does not take you to a hand-picked list, but rather to a selection of items represented by the graphic – for instance, the one that says “Suit up for Summer” brings you to a selection of women’s swimwear.

If you use the sidebar navigation on that page, it takes you to women’s fashion categories.

If I click on another category where there is a narrower selection of listings … let’s say “Toys and Hobbies”, it takes me right to a page that says “Handpicked toys and hobbies” with search selections underneath. Again, these are not handpicked lists, it is a “handpicked” search selection. Again from the sidebar I can choose to search given particular subcategories … “action figures”, for instance, or “radio control & control line”.

I think the confusion is with the word “handpicked”, which in this case does not indicate that it’s showing handpicked [URL removed]

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
