Bonanza.com application fee, in addition to stripe fee?

Have any of you run into this scenario?

Is this SNAFU Bonanza’s or Stripe’s?

When Bonanza made the announcement, they touted no additional fees other than FVF. My Dashboard clearly shows a double-dip, seemingly by Bonanza.

Thanks for any insight y’all can provide.

The extra fee you see in Stripe is the taxes collected that are remitted to bonanza to pay the individual state taxes required…

There is the stripe fee
The taxes (taxes goes to bonanza)

if you check carefully…and add the stripe fee+taxes that is what you see stripe

Just like in paypal (there it is listed as a Partner Fee)

You’re right. It’s allegedly for State(s) sales tax. Why it has to be so convoluted, IDK. Thanks for the assist.

That’s alright..first time I saw the “fee” charged by stripe with an order that had taxes charged, I became really confused…checked the sale and after about 15 minutes of fuming some, I realized it was the taxes…

I have a transaction with item sold and on the SALES page “tax collected by Bonanza” it says zero dollars and yet on stripe it says in the “metadata” tax collect $1.12. But another transaction shows the tax collected on both… so I am still confused :/

This is an official Bonanza response.

Did [email protected] not receive my query on 17 May? The email confirmation received from Bonz suggest y’all did. Kindly have a look into that, Wanda.

You will have to be more specific before any members can offer possible answers. Just don’t provide any of your personal info here. Or send email to support@bonanza

But generally, there is no fee to use Stripe for Bonanza payments.

I called Bonanza first, no wait, emailed them. Then requested a call from Stripe; got one in 2 minutes. Stripe referred me back to Bonanza with limited edification…

…then I came here and was not disappointed with the help received. Thanks Tom.

Thanks to all for the clarification. I did contact Stripe first via email and they responded within the hour. However, they, too, did not realize it is sales tax as she told me it was a Bonanza Application Fee.

Since I wasn’t charged so much on ALL Bonanza transactions, I was still confused but the responses here explain it…some states are still not collecting sales tax so those are the ones the “application fee” wasn’t charged.

It is convoluted the way it is presented but now I get it ;)

Confused too about the Bonanza.com application fee. It’s a fairly significant amount. What is it and why is it so high? Thanks for your assistance.
