Looking at the fees here. It [URL removed] You sell a $2 item. Although $2 × 3.5% = $0.07 you still owe $0.50 as that is the minimum on any item.
So, no matter what I will owe 50 cents on a 2 dollar item? What if I sell an item for a dollar (which I do on ebay sometimes), still 50 cents? Then paypal fees on top of that…
This seems higher than ebay’s fees. Am I reading this wrong or misunderstanding?

Hi Ketchum_Kards,
Thanks for reaching out and so sorry for any confusion. Bonanza charges a minimum of $0.50 on every transaction. While the percentage seems steep on transactions that have a low dollar amount, our standard 3.5% fee is much lower than eBay’s. Plus, you don’t have to pay any up-front fees to list your items! You can read more about how our fees stack up against eBay’s on the following [URL removed]

Don’t forget that the fees are charged on the total of the ENTIRE order. So, if you sell many small-priced items, you are not paying $0.50 per item, but the fee is based on the total sale.
For example, if you are at the 3.5% advertising rate and you sell eight $1 items, your total sale is $8. The rate of 3.5% would normally come out to be $0.28, but Bonanza charges the $0.50 minimum fee. That means that you are effectively paying 6.25% ($0.50/$8 = .0625 = 6.25%) on that $8 sale.
So, at what sales price does the lowest fee percentage kick in at? Well that sales amount happens to be $14.27. When your entire sale is at or greater than this amount, then the fees will equal 3.5% ($14.27 × 0.35 = $0.50)

Don’t use your reward tokens until you have enough in fees to take a full dollar off. In other words if you owe 75 cents in fees for one month do not use tokens as you will lose the 25 cents over. They do not give you credit back for unused amounts of the $1.00 credit.
