Where is the best place to research "Foxhill" China?

Does anyone have a date for alfred meakin “foxhill” china? I want to list some lovely plates and bowls of various sizes, but would like to be able to say that the Foxhill pattern (not a fox hunting scene, thank goodness) is such and such an age – but can’t find anything about it on R Place or elsewhere.

Here is a link to Replacement’s Ltd for Foxhill, but they have none in stock for a price reference and very little info.

I did some other web searching that is all I came up with.

I agree 1st go to replacements
then google it to see what your competition is asking

go to Ask.Com as Montrose has the link posted above.

put in Alfred Meakin in England

there is one entry which says Alfred Meakin Tunstall (this is further down the list)…….this entry has the backstamps and dates listed! I promise. I just went there!

Replacements can be a good place to get dating information on dinnerware and other items IF Replacements puts the correct information on. There have been times where I have found the dates to be incorrect.

One that comes immediately to mind is Pfaltzgraff Village pattern. Replacements claims it was discontinued in 1976…but that is the year the pattern came out. It was actually discontinued in 1996…a difference of 20 years. And yes, I know it is being made now as part of the “By Request” promotion, but it’s not the same quality it used to be.
