I am new to bonanzle and also very excited to get my booth open, but I have a a couple of questions.
I am in Canada and not sure how to set up my shipping as it seems to be set up for US buyers and sellers.
Also I need to know how are the US & International buyers about buying from Canada?
I sold on that other place and shipping from Canada to the USA hurt my stats…not my feed back, I had 100% on that…but it was shipping time stats. Anyone who has crossed over knows what I mean, so I am wondering if the issue is a concern on here? I like to keep shipping as cheap as I can for my customers and Canadian customers understand. But for US & International buyers sometimes going through customs can delay parcels.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

Hello from Toronto!
I’m here for over 2 years and shipping cost calculatuons are my bigest “problem”
The way I do it is by stating in all my listings for buyers to contact me for shipping cost. Also., you can accept the offer and than change invoice to include shipping. It work for me,most of my sales are to US. Let me know if I can help.
Good luck! Bonanza is great!

Hi ScrapBookBargains,
I have sold on the other site too and have had many Canadian buyers (I live in the US). I don’t see a problem with it but I had the same experience as you. Good feedback but complaints about the shipping time.
When you list you might want to clarify that shipping could take a little longer than expected and to please consider that when buying. Oops, forgot to mention that if there isn’t an option to charge for international shipping you can add those costs at the end of your listing.
Good luck to you!
Connie

I’m selling from Canada feel free to send me a Bmail.
You need to setup the US shipping as your normal US shipping cost.
You just need to setup two international shipping method
1- for the Canadian
2- For every other country (with batch edit tool, before activating the item )
Or vice versa, the thing is that you can only setup one of them when listing and item, then you need to edit it in batch edit mode to add a second international shipping cost. Do it for the first item, then duplicate this item for further listing with similar shipping so you’ll have to setup it only one time.
For the shipping delay I can say that there’s not such thing as DSR here so you won’t be rated on shipping delay. It’s always a good thing to mention to your U.S. buyer in your description that items as to go trough custom and that shipping delay may vary between X and X day ( www.canadapost.ca to get rate and delay )
Hope it help

IF you live anywhere near the border, cross over and ship from the US for your US customers. A lot cheaper and quicker.

Hi,
I live in Canada and sell mainly to US buyers here but sell more Internationally on other sites. I sell a variety of items and as a result, can’t really set standard shipping costs.
I simply state that shipping is my actual cost from the Post Office and I do not charge handling fees and I ask them to contact me for the exact shipping cost.
The simplest way to set this up is through the Batch Edit area. Go into shipping. Check off each newly listed item that needs to be set up. Then check 1. “Add International….” 2. “flat rate” 3. “any of the countries you wish to sell/ship to” and 4. hit submit. [URL removed] In order for the above to work properly , when you list your items you need to set your “shipping details” Within the US as “See description”
Also, when I quote shipping, I try to give as much detail as possible e.g. Weight and exact shipping method. I also give the customer an estimated delivery date (with a bit of extra time added in case of customs, weather, holidays etc.).
Most people who buy internationally will wait the extra time if the item is something they really want.
I have not had any problems with Bonanzle buyers regarding delayed deliveries.
Hope this helps.

Hello scrapbook Bargians. several people have looked at our question but They are probably like ME- dont have any Canadaian shippping experience. If you dont get an answer within the next couple of hours you may want to rephrase your subject to include the canadian Dilema to catch the right peoples eye.
good luck and welcome!

Thank you for replying…I think I may have posted this is the wrong area :(
I just really want to be able to sell to US and international buyers so we both have a good experience…I just can’t get over how different this place is. It’s people like all of you that make selling online so much fun :)
Thank you everyone for taking time to help me. You’ve all given me great suggestions and I now know what to do. At least, I’ll pretend to for the moment…lol. I now revised all my listings, thankfully I only had 132 so far to revise. But going forward things will be easier. But you did make things much easier for me and I do appreciate it. And thanks so much for the extra tips [URL removed]

Hello
I am near Toronto and have been selling online for over 6 years.
Please feel free to BMail me if you need help.
Most of my buyers are from the US with a few from Overseas. I have not had a problem with them complaining about delivery times. I tell them upfront that shipping to the US takes approximately 5 – 10 business days and they are very understanding.
The people above have given you very good information, so I won’t duplicate it, but if you need help in future, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I tried to see your booth but it doesn’t have any items yet, I guess you haven’t activated it yet.
Best of Luck
Maria
