Can anyone tell me if this is an authentic Etienne Aigner coin purse/clutch? It only has a logo embossed on the outside that looks very similar to Aigner. There’s nothing inside to indicate it’s maker. It is leather (good quality) and the frame and lining insided suggest it is circa 1970s or earlier. Thank you!

Hi don’t know if its authentic but could be. I found this pic of the logo on a bag and description of the bag says late 50’s to early 60’s.

This is where I found this logo on this listing its a purse just assumed they would have same logo on all. Maybe not.
This does not have logo makings on the lining but does say hand made and his signuture.

Emily, the logo does not look like the Aigner logo to me, but I could be wrong. I have never seen one of the Etienne logos, where the ‘horseshoe’ bar does not go all the way across the horseshoe. In addition, most of his clutches/coin purses have the logo on a clasp, pull tab, a button in front or somewhere else, and many have logo lining.

Thank you, VintagePlus and MyTexas. I agree with both of you, but I also can’t find the company that has a logo this similar to Aigner, so I’m still not sure if it is real or not. I’m continuing to look and appreciate your comments. If anyone else has anything to add, please let me know.
Thank you very much, CCMom! I had originally thought it could be an “R”, but couldn’t find anything like that. I’ll check out your suggestions. Thanks for taking the time to outline your thoughts!

Don’t know about handbag/purse logos..
but you are seeing an A
It could also be a PV in a Horse shoe
Or an R inside an A
there are several variations it can be
Or P M in a horseshoe (or A)
