I have a set of 12 tumblers purchased from a friend who says they belonged to her great grandmother, and that they are antique.
I have been looking for days for anything that will tell me who manufactured these and in what year. The only thing I have to go with is the mark on the bottom, which appears to be JG. Any information on them would be greatly appreciated.
They are ringed from bottom to top and have two pressed seams, one on each side. Glass is not totally clear but rather blurred. They measure 6 inches high by 3 inches wide.
Thank you for looking and your help in advance~

[URL removed] I don’t think your item is an actual glass, it might have been a glass container for jam or jelly.

It shows all the backstamps/logos that Anchor Hocking used from 1905 to present day. It does not include the one you are showing.
The Logo you are showing was used by Anchor Glass Container Corporation – They are still in business

Hi, These are Anchor Hocking, from the 1960’s. They were “everyday” ware, so I’m not sure they had a pattern name. They came in green also.

This is a “guestimate” on my part. I’m wondering if that might be an early version of an Anchor Hocking mark. I don’t believe that they are meant to be letters because the “forms” are identical, and reversed versions of each other.
You could try doing a Google search for depression glass sites, and clubs. I just searched my email files to try to find a link to a site that has massive amounts of info and potential contacts for glassware experts. I’m not sure where I managed to lose this link, right now.
I’ll try to find the link later, for you. I’ve had success getting obscure pattrns ID’ed through them.
