What was this tool used for?

The hole is off side and there are ribs for crimping inside the jaws. Chrome plated and nicely made.

As soon as I figure out how, I’ll add a photo.

If it’s chrome, it’s not antique. Antique is 100 years old. Looks like a cable crimping tool of some kind.

It reminds me of what an electrician or electronics repair person would use for stripping wires and fastening connectors on the end of wires.
