I’ve been calling it a bowl for lack of any other ideas. But it is not quite 4 inches in diameter and 1 inch high so that doesn’t seem to be a good description. It’s certainly not a saucer. I think if I knew what it was I’d have better luck selling it.

Thanks, all! I should have known. Back in the dark ages I actually got a nut dish with 4 smaller individual dishes as a wedding gift, but they were much more bowl shaped. I’ve revised my listing. Maybe that will help.

Hi, I recently sold several pieces of these and learned that this particular pattern sells well during the Spring time and then again during the autumn season just before the holidays.

These wonderful small Empress reticulated ramekins were used to place a tealight inside as a special touch at each placesetting.
In depth [URL removed] The Carl Schumann factory operated in Arzburg, Germany (Bavaria) from [phone number removed]. Schumann china was famous for its striking resemblance, in both quality and style, to the revered Dresden dinnerware. Employing the same “Rococo revival” decorating techniques as these more prominent manufactures, Schumann china is known for its colorful fruit and flower patterns, set upon a translucent, eggshell white porcelain.

I sold one years ago, reticulated seems to be the name for that open work around the top. Here is a link to the Schumann at Replacements.com, maybe you can find your pattern there. Good luck to you.
[URL removed] I found a similar shape at Replacements.com and they call it a Fruit/Dessert (Sauce) Bowl. It was a smidge bigger. Then I looked at other patterns and bowl sizes and see that it might be a nut bowl or maybe a bon bon dish. It’s beautiful!

I would call it a dish … decorative, small dish.
I think the “open work” on the edge is called “reticulated”
I just checked on the dark side
“schumann bavaria reticulated dish”
not your exact one shows up but there are several listed.
