Our teeth whitening gel comes in different strengths of gel, ranging from 10% being the lowest, to 45% being the strongest. I show that your purchase included our strongest gel, 45%. You mentioned using teeth whitening gel in the past and after reading your feedback we believe the strength of gel used was a lower percentage. Also, please make sure that you follow the instructions included in your kit. Unfortunately, it is a common mistake to use too much gel which can cause the temporary whitening and irritation of the gums. You only need one small drop, the size of a match head, per tooth. Please do not put too much gel on the trays, insert only a small drop of gel per tooth. To avoid irritation on your gums, you have to be diligent in wiping off the excess gel immediately when it touches the soft tissues. The tolerance on the strength of gel varies in people, making some able to whiten their teeth with a stronger gel while others must use a lesser percentage due to teeth and gum sensitivity.
