Our pre-mixes are packed with nutrients for microbiology, and mushroom growing mycelium
Frequently used in the expansion and isolation of mushroom mycelium. Malt Extract Agar (MEA) How to prepare agar petri dishes: 1) Dissolve whole packet of MEA in 1000ml of warm water. 2) Autoclave/pressure cook for 35 minutes, ensuring sterility thereafter. 3) Pour into Petri dishes and leave to set for 10 minutes, then inoculate. 1000ml of liquid agar will prepare approximately 20-40 Petri dishes.
