Brand new factory sealed German language Synapse dvd is Out Of Print (OOP) and no longer being manufactured. Wanting only to help mankind, Dr. Johnson (Fred Williams) develops a vaccine that, if adminstered to the new generation while still in utero, will greatly reduce the likelihood of cancer and other fatal diseases. He takes his discovery to the local medical board, where he is ridiculed and denounced by the conservatives in charge: Drs. Walker (Howard Vernon), Huston (Paul Muller), Crawford (Ewa Stromberg), and Donen (Jess Franco, who directed this film under an alias). Declaimed as mad, Johnson obediently loses his mind and eventually takes his own life, a trauma that dedicates his young widow (Soledad Miranda), to the mission of avenging him--which she does by donning a series of wigs and systematically seducing and killing all four doctors. Miranda gives a performance that rivals her other iconic work; in a final extended probing shot of Miranda, hugging her legs on a sofa (see dvd cover), while her face "tells" the rest of the story through a series of disturbing facial expressions, is like witnessing the rebirth of silent cinema: She's that good. Within a few months of completing this performance, Miranda was killed in a car accident at the tender age of 27.
