The binding is in good condition, the pages are clean but tanned and a name and date of 1964 are written inside the front cover. The cover is edge worn and the laminate is cracking along the spine hinges. Acceptable. Hardcover.
"Tommy, stop lying to yourself. Deep inside, I don't think you really want to be a doctor!" Jim Kildare flung the harsh words at young Tommy Benton in an effort to learn the truth. What had started out as an average year of internship for Dr. Kildare had suddenly turned into a nightmare. Without warning Dr. Gillespie had put Kildare in charge of the sullen teenager who was to spend the summer at Blair.
"A doctor should be able to deal with all kinds of people-including difficult teenagers." Gillespie's words bothered Kildare for Tommy was a problem--a young boy filled with mistrust, hostility, and yet with a determined ideal to be a great surgeon. By the end of their first day together, Dr. Kildare knew he had been assigned to trouble. (#000070)
