Never slide panels over each other, a table, or other flat surfaces. This can remove the masking and expose the finished surface to damage, such as scratching. --Try to always handle the acrylic by the edges. --To remove any finger prints and to eliminate static buildup, use a weak solution of liquid dish washing detergent and warm water. Wipe the area gently with a soft, lint-free cloth. Then all nails are removed and each board is cleaned by hand to remove excessive debris without removing personality and damaging decades worth of grain character. At this point, the board is processed and ready to become your own piece of artwork in your home. The result is a charming matted portrait without the additional expense of a matte with pre-attached hardware that is designed to hang in both the picture and landscape orientation, although by adding a matte, one size smaller picture may be used.
