I am offering an Antique and attractive original early 1800’s Germany- Prussia king Frederick William III, original “Heil dem sieger” token.
Frederick William III (German: Friedrich Wilhelm III) (3 August 1770 – 7 June 1840) was king of Prussia from 1797 to 1840. He ruled Prussia during the difficult times of the Napoleonic Wars and the end of the Holy Roman Empire. Steering a careful course between France and her enemies, after a major military defeat in 1806, he eventually and reluctantly joined the coalition against Napoleon in the Befreiungskriege.
OBVERSE: King Frederick William III bust to left, Legend: Fr: Willh. III koe. v. Preussen. And the letter L on the bottom.
REVERSE: Showing the goddess of medicine standing to left showing the trophy with the medicine symbol on the left, Legend: “Heil dem sieger” translate to “Hail to the winner”.
Measurement: Diameter 24,8 mm.
Weight: 3,45 grams.
Condition: Preservation VF, nice original patina no scratches, part of green oxidation. See photos.
