All edges gilt. Very good clean copy with a bit of shelf slant. A bit of light soul to the title page. Included is an old postcard of The Well at Cawnpore.
Nice interior pages. 17 plates. Page 58 with a fold-out. Illustrated in black and white with line engravings.
A well known book covering the Crimea, Mutiny Campaign and Afghanistan.
Observations from the view-point of view of a non-commissioned officer.
