LARGE SIZE 43" x 30" Washed Matted Frame Text or email with any questions.....thank you. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jane Afton Mabey (1942-2006) Born April 1, 1942, Jane Mabey grew up on Bountiful's Orchard Drive when it was more orchards than houses. She always loved the shimmer of a sunset reflecting off the waters of the Great Salt Lake, and that carried into her artistic perception. In 1960, Jane graduated from Bountiful High school. She spent several summers working at Jackson Lake Lodge, enjoying the area with friends. She earned a Bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Utah where she later pursued graduate studies. She worked at the University of Utah Cancer Registry and later as a librarian at the Salt Lake City Public Library, where she greatly enjoyed the camaraderie of her wonderful coworkers. Jane also lived in Switzerland twice and cherished the friends she met there. Her artwork often reflects the images she captured while abroad. Jane loved all animals but was a cat fancier par excellence. She didn't consider a house to be a home without a cat in residence. She loved classical music, art, traveling around the world, and enjoying good literature. She was devoted to her friends, and she had a gift for building close one-on-one relationships. She was loved for her gentle spirit, inquisitive mind, artistic flair, and satirical sense of humor.
