Italian barbuta helmet with visor; and similar items

This helmet is one of the most controversial armor pieces and always causes a lot of debates. As far as we know, only two pieces of this type are available in museums, and most researchers and reenactors consider them to be a regular open-face barbuta, dated circa mid. XV century, upgraded later with the removable visor. Which makes a lot of sense for us as this conversion allows you to have a great 2-in-1 gear, open-face, entirely historically looking barbuta and a visored helmet which can be used for most types of combat, including heavy formats and jousting. So, with its very aggressive, fantasy looking design, this helmet is a universal armor for many things, from living history to HMB, jousting, and LARP. Functionally, our visored barbuta goes in a variety of steel thicknesses and can be a mirror- or satin-polished, it's also supplied with a pin-lock to meet up SCA and some other formats requirements.
