Item description
Aldus PageMaker, an early desktop publishing software program, released in 1986 for the first versions of Microsoft Windows. In the 1990s, Adobe acquired Aldus and the PageMaker software, but discontinued it in 2013.
The program is complete in its original slipcover box, with the following:
Disk package
Install / Program disk
Setup / Build disk
Dictionary / Tutorial disk
Drivers disk
Utilities / Fonts disk
Installation guide (2 copies)
User manual
Reference manual
Getting Started booklet (5.0)
Commercial Printing Guide (5.0)
Aldus Additions booklet (5.0)
PageMaker 1.0a Supplement guide
Paper belt, originally wrapped around all of the documentation
The slipcover box has a "1.0a" label on it and mentions it's on 3.5" disks, and some of the manuals reference version 1.0, however a few others reference version 5.0 (which was released in 1993). I've marked the manuals that say 5.0 above. I tested all of the disks and verified that they are readable, and they have 1987 dates on the files, which is when verison 1.0a was released. So it seems a few later manuals got stuck in with the original software. (This came in a box of old PC stuff I bought from someone else.)
I wasn't sure what to price this at, so I took a guess. If I'm way too high, lower offers are always welcome. On the other hand if I've priced it too low, feel free to grab the bargain and run.
Free shipping within the United States. International shipping will vary depending on the destination. Please ask if interested.
I welcome lower offers, especially if you are buying multiple items at once. To make a lower offer, add the item(s) to your cart and on the checkout page you will be given the option to name your own price. (If you are not seeing this option, it may be because your state requires sales tax. Bonanza is working on a fix for this issue, but you can also send me a direct message with your offer.)
