Crown the Empire is an American post hardcore/metalcore band formed in July 2010 in Dallas, Texas with current members: Andrew "Andy Leo" Velasquez, David Escamilla, Brandon Hoover, Bennett "Benn Suede" Vogelman, Brent Taddie and Hayden Tree. The band's ultimate goal then was "to be heavier than most bands in their area," while bringing huge poppy choruses to a genre that can become pretty stale."
