Hardy Boys 3 The Secret of the Old Mill and similar items

Copyright 1927 Excellent FIRST Applewood printing, 1991, original pre-1962 text and art. Here is a like-new text in a very good+ dust jacket. Book has not been read. Perhaps from merchant handling or shelf wear, the dust jacket has slight rubbing damage at the gold line at the extreme top and bottom and there's some abrasion of the gold seal on the front dust jacket cover, but no tears. Otherwise, no markings/writing, flaws or other damage seen. Looks and handles like new, was not sold to a retail customer. Presently out of print. This is #3 of the original Hardy Boys series, a faithful reproduction of the original text and artwork done by the Stratemeyer Syndicate (Leslie McFarlane) with 212 pages. This is not the 1962 rewrite/condensation (174 pages) by Alistair Hunter, which, in its "updating," drastically reduced the charm and flavor of the original. (HBB3)
