The binding is in acceptable condition. The pages are lightly tanned and there is a name and a gift inscription dated 1930 written on the front end paper. The cover is rubbed, edge worn and faded, the spine is very faded. Good. Hardcover.
Cornelli, the heroine of the story, suffers temporarily from the unjust suspicion of her elders, a misfortune which, it is to be feared, still occurs frequently in the case of sensitive children. How she was restored to herself and reinstated in her father's affection forms a narrative of unusual interest and truth to life. (#0000961)
