Item description
Grosset Dunlap. Copyright 1928. Author is Leslie McFarlane, writing under the house pseudonym "Franklin W. Dixon." Text was completely rewritten in 1963 by Alistair Hunter.
#6 in the series. This is the original text. Print year is 1945, Carpentieri-code 1945A-29. Wartime paper was used, which age-yellows earlier than standard paper then used, but this book's pages are sturdy and not torn or ripped. Second cover art by Scott.
Very good+ tan text. No writing/marking, but there is a prior ownership sticker on the front free endpaper. Orange Gretta endpapers.
Very good+ dust jacket with just very minor chipping, at bottom of spine. Lists to Melted Coins on front flap and to eight Lone Ranger titles on the rear flap. Rear lists twenty-six air combat titles. There is some minor spotting on the rear of the dust jacket.
Attractive addition to your library.
