The box lid features gorgeous hand-brushed cursive calligraphy signed by the maker Harumasa and features the official red ink studio seal of the Shibata kiln Each of the 5 plates displays a stunning, highly desirable Gohonte (???) peach-pink blush blooming beneath a milky-white overlay. The surface is beautifully and evenly covered in a fine network of crackled glaze, known as Kanny? (??) Hagi ceramics are celebrated for Hagi no Nana-bake (?????)?the "Seven Transformations."
