This is for a beautiful original oil on canvas of an Egyptian desert scene featuring a man in traditional attire looking across the dunes high atop a camel with a colorful saddle blanket. Great subject with wonderful color tones and shadows. Signed lower right. If you look around the tail of the camel the artist reveals their process. The canvas was painted blue first, light to dark. Then the image was painted. They let the blue show through here and there for contrast and highlighting. The blue also shows through from under the saddle blanket. The rest of the paint is on top. Great brushwork with a natural color palette. This is a classic example of fine art. Note that a thin area along the top edge of the canvas has damage. Due to the location a repair isn't necessary. This area across the top can just be re-stretched over the edge of the stretcher bar. About 3/4 of an inch of the top would be lost/hidden under a frame. This small area at the top is not a significant part of the image at all. I can adjust the price a little for the additional cost incurred during the framing process.
