The Academy Award, and Edgar Award winning author and screenwriter is still today, highly lauded by authors and critics for his exquisite writing style, employed in tough situations and characters under strain. Elusive in this U.K. dust jacket--which has nicely protected the binding. A hint of crimp to the upper corner tips, else very nearly fine, square and firm in apricot linen with bold black titles to the spine; in a good dust jacket that retains the upper portion with titles in black, but is missing a majority, 4.75", of the lower spine panel, with chips to its upper end; a horizontal tear to the front panel is clear-tape reinforced from its verso, separation at the front flap fold; original printed 10/6 net price still intact to the front inner flap.
