Antique 1906 Framed Marriage Certificate Hessville Sandusky County Ohio Ernst Kaufmann 17.5x21.5
An authentic antique framed marriage certificate documenting the marriage of Clarence E. Swartzlander and Mary A. Paul of Hessville, Sandusky County, Ohio on October 30, 1906. This beautifully illustrated lithograph features colorful floral artwork, biblical scenes, scripture verses, and symbolic Christian imagery including the cross, anchor, and heart. Published by Ernst Kaufmann of Lahr, Baden, Germany with a New York office, these decorative marriage certificates were popular in the late Victorian and Edwardian eras and were often proudly displayed in the family home. A wonderful piece of Ohio genealogy, religious ephemera, and antique home decor.
