Sizing Guide Generally, 1 Pound of person/pet equals approx. 1 cubic inch of remains. For example, a 200 pound person would need a 200 cubic inch urn or larger. However, if you have a certain size urn, most funeral homes can make certain adjustments to accommodate that size urn, within reason. Details This urn is totally eco-friendly and bio-degradable. All of our bio-degradable urns are made of 100% sustainable, renewable materials. The urn will dissolve over the course of three days when placed in water, and three months when buried underground. The urn is designed with holes in the bottom, to allow water to quickly enter so that it floats only briefly and then gracefully sinks when placed into water. This urn will not biodegrade unless placed in water or buried, so it is a fine choice to place on a mantle or in a cemetery niche. Each urn includes a biodegradable bag into which the cremated remains must be placed. No glue is required to seal the urn. Simply remove the lid, carefully moisten the inside lip and replace the lid. It will seal itself. Each urn is shipped in a box with custom protective packaging that provides families with a convenient and discreet option for transportation. The box (and urn) will pass through airport security screenings and can fit in the overhead compartment of most commercial airliners.
