Art Moderne MCM 1950s Hammered Round Hobnail and 50 similar items

This piece is so many shades of WOW! Hammered discs of copper that is a dark bronze shade in some lighting; brass squares of brass are applied as hobnails that rise above the disc; two sizes of links – 2+” have 3 brass cubes and 1 ” have 2 brass cubes. Then the tail consists of fifteen 7/8” links that are soldiered at most the joints = a 10” extension chain + another 2” disc at the end. The body of the belt is 28” with sturdy 1 ” hook at the other end. Total length from end-to-end is 41 ”. No corrosion, nor tarnish; it is in excellent vintage condition. I can find no information about the origin of this sturdy, skillful hand-crafted construction techniques. Much about the design reminds me of HAROLD BALAZS which also helps to date of this art form as 1950-1970s.
