Item description
Jordan Pond House Menu History Recipes Acadia National Park Bar Harbor ME 1983
A large 12 page booklet with 2 page unpriced menu , 2 pages of history and 6 pages of recipes. Jordan Pond House Restaurant Menu History Recipes. Located in Seal Harbor , Acadia National Park, near Bar Harbor Maine and hand dated 1983. Measures about 8 1/2" x 11" when closed.
It is one of Maine?s most famous historic restaurants, dating back to the 1870s. The original Jordan Pond House became a landmark in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, especially under the McIntire family, who made the tea-and-popover tradition famous.
The original building was destroyed by fire in 1979 and the restaurant was rebuilt and reopened in 1982, continuing the tradition.
It became one of those classic Maine destinations where the view, history, and meal are all part of the experience
Due to the size limitations of my scanner, the entire menu may not show in some of the scans.
in very fine condition
