Item description
Product Name : Kirata Shiva in Pure Solid Copper ? 6 inches
Weight : 385 gms
Dimension : 6 inches (Height) / 2 inches * 2 inches (Base)
Design : Beautiful Kirata Shiva is artistically crafted in solid copper by skilled artisans of South India . Kirata Murti Represent a ?Shiva ? Divine hunter? having two hands , holding big bow and snake , with detailed ornaments .
Description :
Shaiva tradition holds that Shiva is not bound to a singular, exalted appearance. He takes on every form ? from the cosmic dancer to the wandering ascetic, from the supreme lord of Kailasa to a humble forest hunter. The Kirata Murti is one of the most remarkable of these forms, presenting Shiva disguised as tribal hunters, moving through the forest with bow, quiver, and hound, this divine nature concealed beneath the garb of the wilderness.
Shiva?s willingness to appear as a tribal hunter reflects the Shaiva Siddhanta understanding that the Lord is Sarvabyapi ? present everywhere, in every being, in every station of life. No form is too lowly for the Lord to inhabit. The forest setting is significant. In Shaiva symbolism, the forest represents the realm of the senses, the wilderness of worldly life through which the soul wanders. Shiva as the master hunter moves through this realm with absolute mastery. The bow and arrows signify his power to direct and destroy the forces of ignorance and ego. The Kirata Murti stands as an enduring icon of grace, disguise, surrender, and revelation at the heart of Shaiva devotion.
