Item description
Taking care of the home and family meant many of hours of never ending hard work. This twisted wire rug beater was an important tool before vacuums. While there is no maker's stamp, research has matched it to a mail order business called Johnson Novelty Company founded in Chicago 1914. Wire beater has a twisted open design and is connected firmly to a reddish orange wooden handle. There is an aged patina consistent with its age and regular use. Measures 28.5" long X 9" at widest point.Wire portion only 23.5". Handle alone measures 4.75" Just the item you need to display in your vintage laundry room or retro kitchen!
