This is for a rare Cyclo-Matic dual watch winder made in Germany. This is a highly specialized winder with dual functions and dual power sources assigned to each function. These vintage Cyclomatics are prized by professional watchmakers and owners of watches that have multiple complications. This is also a very nice winder for individual use if you want a high quality winder. This will run on batteries as well as a wall adapter (included). Each power source has its own distinct function. The wall adapter runs the "infinity" setting on the switch while the batteries run the very gentle intermittent "maintain" function. When using batteries this winder will run for about two years! Essentially this is the only winder ever designed to sit in a safe or safety deposit box and keep the watch ready to go whenever you retrieve it. The intermittent "maintain" setting runs for 2 minutes, pauses for 50 minutes, then runs for 2 minutes and so on. This emulates how much the winding mechanism of your watch moves when on your wrist during any given hour of the day. All other winders aren't good for a watch long-term as they wind the watch too much. The very conservative intermittent setting on this winder is designed to maintain your watch with the absolute minimum use of the mechanism. You can essentially avoid ever pulling the stem on your watch which is usually the first fail point requiring service. This is set for clockwise rotation. If desired there is a switch in the battery compartment to change the rotation to counterclockwise. The two watch holders are very thin and springy and will self adjust to any size strap.
