This is Inside The Vatican by Bart McDowell, photographed by James L. Stanfield, prepared by the Book Division, National Geographic Society, Washington, D.C. 1991. This is a beautiful 9 1/2" x 11 1/4" hard cover book with 232 pages. It has a bright red leather or leatherette cover with gilt trim and page edges. There is also an attached fabric bookmark ribbon. It is in excellent condition.
It is packed with information and gorgeous photos which include some of the fabulous artwork of the Vatican. Lots of information about the papacy, treasures and history.
