Tokyo Rose, Orphan of the Pacific is a 1979 biography by Masayo Duus about Iva Toguri D'Aquino, the American-born woman known as "Tokyo Rose" during WWII, who was convicted of treason for her role as a radio broadcaster in Japan, despite her broadcasts being mostly entertainment and her secretly helping POWs.
The book details her life, her entrapment in Japan, her trial, and her eventual exoneration by President Gerald Ford in 1977, highlighting themes of racial prejudice and the nature of treason
