Item description
Dork 07 (1993 Slave Labor)
*(Grade:NEAR MINT)
#07
*Without a doubt, Evan Dorkin is one of the funniest alternative cartoonists working in comics today. This series is a showcase for his hilarious work. Leading off the pack is the Murderr Family, a devilishly black situation comedy starring a family of serial killers. While slicing up a meter reader, they remark, ?Damn! The knife snapped. Must?ve hit the breastbone?Aw Matt, your mother gave us that knife. I loved that knife!? Next is a collection of rock review comics Dorkin did with Kyle Baker for a defunct music magazine. Their comments on the crowds at alternative shows were dead-on funny. (A huge person is seen thinking, ?I am much taller than Kyle, so I must stand directly in front of him at all times!?) Rounding out the bunch are musings on Fisher-Price peg people, the infamous ?Baby in the Microwave? story, and episodes from his hilarious Milk Cheese series (?Dairy Products Gone Bad!?). Great stuff!
