On the front of the father frost the girls are decorating the Christmas tree with their deer friend. On the back of the Santa little girls are playing in the snow with their winter sled in the village in front of the on looking snowman. On the carved Santa's basket, he is carrying gifts for the children of the village and the child is looking at the gifts the elf is sitting on. This Russian Santa is completely hand carved from solid linden wood. Made in Russia. An excellent work of art by Koudryashova and signed by her. The size is 16 inches tall ( 41 cm ) by 7 inches wide ( 18 cm). The walking stick is hand painted as well.
